A future threat that can wipe out the existence of X (X = thing that you're insuring). e.g. AGI -> humans Imminent Asteroid -> humans '08 financial crisis -> your investment portflio

Why AGI would wipe out humans? When humans evolved from Neanderthal, we didn’t wipe out other animals. And in the long run maybe they will survive after humans will go extinct.

Continuing the animal analogy a bit - humans goals have directly or indirectly led to the existence of many animal species. There is a world where a being with a step function increment in intelligence relative to us has its own goals that directly/indirectly similarly affects some/many/all humans.
