I sometimes have a hard time naming projects. What do you use as useful frameworks to name your ventures?

What helps me is realizing the name isn’t nearly so important as the story that you build around it.

I solved this by identifying a common trait first. Very specific to our work but our common trait is that first users speak Swahili. Now I name every app with the utility it provides — a term in Swahili.

I make mind maps, journal, and try to find flow state. I also go to a thesaurus frequently once I’ve identified some key words or concepts. I check availability of the .com in parallel and similar names pop up on those lists. Worst Possible Idea can be fun. A custom GPT helps with ideas, too.
