What goals do you guys have in running? I’m currently aiming to run a sub 3 hour marathon in the next year. Until then, I’m base building and increasing my mileage week over week, with about 80% of my runs in zone 2 heart rate. I’m up to 40 miles per week, aiming to get to mid 40’s and maintain there.

Here’s what I use to know when I was ready to break 3 hrs. 8 X 1 mile at 6:15 pace with 1:45 sec rest. If I had 50 plus miles a week and could do that set a few times. I knew I was ready. Broke it twice 2 years ago and 3 years ago. At 52 and 53 years old

That’s some real speed! I’ll keep that workout in mind once I’m more in shape. Yesterday I did 5 x 1 mile at 6:40 with 1 min rests, and felt I had more in the tank. Being careful increasing intensity cause I got injuries in my last two marathon builds. My current PR’s at 3:38
