Great to find this group. 55 started running at close to 40, broke 3hrs marathon at 52, a few Ironmans to see if I could finish (I did) and spend 1/4 of the year in Leadville CO so I can cheat when I go back to sea level

I joined Farcaster for community beyond jpegs and crypto. Running and non money related topics became my community here. @vm had a lot to do with that. He was and OG here and running is part of his life as well. I missed a week of posting because of work but came back to open arms in /running. That's great community

Most of my posts are I'm sorry for not posting but I promise I'm still running. Here is another one of them. Finally started adding some miles with some pace every other mile. Turn 55 in a few says and it takes a little more work each year to get to sub 19 5K and sub 1:29 half shape every year.

I preach uncomfortable but Adam Grant says some of the most relaxing locations are by water. So that's what I built. This was a cornfield when I moved in. Time and hard work turned it in to my Zen area. Pond is right by my living room and the bedroom above. This time of year I hear it 24hrs a days. So peaceful

The weekend is a great time to relax & push yourself physically. During the week is where you get uncomfortable in your work world. Taking roles & jobs you think you might not be qualified for. Force yourself into doing difficult things. Your brain is triggered to work hard when you're nervous. Be nervous, be scared

Put in some pace in today's run. Getting ready for workouts. The extra day of rest really helped. The goal is to get 6:50 pace to be talkable pace. Not there yet. 7:15 wasn't for half the run
