I’ve been in a state of grief. My father passed away last Thursday after a long and painful battle. It’s been hard to sum up what grief feels like to me but this art by Jess Merrow does a great job of depicting what feels to have unconditional support through the waves of grief. ♥️❤️🩹

I'm so sorry for your loss. But thank you so much for sharing this gorgeous art. Unconditional support through grief is such a vital element, along with letting those intense waves of emotion wash through and be felt. I'll leave you w/this (& DMs are open) "In the end, we're all just walking each other home" R. Dass.

;) Ram Dass' work with grief is so powerful. I have several friends who are death doulas and pull from his work the most. The documentary with him and Leary called Dying to Know is so powerful. And so is Becoming Nobody.

I’ve watched becoming nobody but don’t recall if I’ve watched dying to know. Good reminder to revisit his work as I’m processing. ♥️

yes!! dying to know isn't too steeped in the narratives of grief either. Might need a little distance before going there, but they talk alot about their work together and their friendship. and the whole psychedelic movement they brought to life.
