The BLS today released a lower than expected PPI. In it, the BLS stated that prices for gasoline decreased 3.6 percent even though prices are up 6.3% more. This is not the first time this kind of "mistake" happens

It's YoY not MoM, so -3.6 % for gasoline seems quite accurate
