I think this is Farcaster's secret. The "magic moment" for Farcaster doesn't happen online ā it happens IRL This is why so many of the CT talking heads and outsiders don't seem to grok FC. They come here, see a noisy feed, and churn In order for FC to continue eating CT, we'll need more IRL touch points

Strong agree tbh, natural pickup of FC is pretty low when compared to organic/irl & recommendation pickup But on that, I think one of the biggest holdouts right now are the midfluencers who engagement farmed their position on X & are in fear of losing that status on FC. Which, hopefully, they would š¤· 127 $degen

x is so bogged down in spam that it's hard for new accounts to get started there now. Replying is useless because few even look though the spam it's much easier here, though obviously the ceiling is lower until we get more users but it seems very possible that FC could flourish as new users gain followings here

I've found on here, even if you're not grinding or engagement farming, you still get a good following of like-minded people tbh Channels help a lot in that regard, easy to find shared interests and niches. On X it's more like shouting into the void half the time unless you're already big on there.

yeah i like the combination of channels and a follow feed, of anything channels could be more prominent IMO need channel list tabs or something

Yeah, I've been waiting to see a more reddit-like fc client appear. Being able to make a bookmark of combined channels and have better separation of links/self posts, coupled with properly threaded comments would be amazing Think we'll see all this stuff appear over time
