to be fair, AI has stolen their styles artists spent years developing w/o permission, art has been c/p and sold as NFTs w/o permission, scams rampant in crypto, the "permissionlessness no matter what" crowd is full of right-wing hate groups (ttrpgs enjoyed by lots of /lgbt folks) provenance and cocreation at scale benefits haven't been seen bc not talked about. if AI gave attribution & respected artist wishes they'd be a lot friendlier

Yep. In fairness, AI hit this industry harder than others, across the board - art and even adventure creation. I think it will require a balance - a chance for artists and creators to still see their place in it. NFTs, by extension, are perceived poorly (as just a way to extract money). I'll be working on changing that perception. No idea if I'll see any success with it, but I know I can lead with providing value and perspective, and I plan to make the entry into NFTs, crypto, and web3 as frictionless as possible. If anyone wants to work with me on it, let me know. 😉
