to be fair, AI has stolen their styles artists spent years developing w/o permission, art has been c/p and sold as NFTs w/o permission, 

scams rampant in crypto, the "permissionlessness no matter what" crowd is full of right-wing hate groups (ttrpgs enjoyed by lots of /lgbt folks)

provenance and cocreation at scale benefits haven't been seen bc not talked about. if AI gave attribution & respected artist wishes they'd be a lot friendlier
