I missed 20 hours of my cast boost, so I'm using the last 4 hours to share some ideas I would like to explore, and maybe find some cohorts. Here is the start of an idea thread. 🙂 🧵 👇

First, I’m focusing on /tabletop related projects and helping @ispeaknerd.eth in growing his nerdy empire. Expect me to post there with regularity. I have been heavily been playing board games since 2017, gaming every week and attending World Boardgaming Championships (WBC) for 4 years now. I have been playing D&D since I was 8 years old (so, coming up on 42 years now). I have played every edition (including adjacent stuff like Pathfinder and DCC), I play tested (and dropped out of play testing) 4th edition, have played (and won) D&D tournaments (yes, those are a thing), and have been a DM for over 25 years.

There are a few projects I'll be exploring. I'll be casting on /dungeonmaster (expect regular content soon, as I want to grow the channel) and /tabletop

This is one of the things I’ll be building: https://paragraph.xyz/@danadams1278gmail.com/participatory-nfts-web-3-and-dandd-meet The truth is - I don’t know if there is an audience for it here on WC, or even in the NFT space in general…but I want to explore and create. I'm looking for co-founders. 😉

Amazing! I've been pondering about the use cases of blockchain + D&D. Started by thinking about having characters and monsters as NFTs, gold/exp as ERC20 where gold could be used to mint more monsters for an adventure, moved to the "publish a module as an NFT" (with not much luck), and lately has been thinking about the impact of CC0 + NFTs. Like a campaign setting owned by a community, represented by an NFT or Token, and then what is canon, the lore, etc. is decided by token holders. Kind of decentralizing Matt Mercer 😅

To be candid, I’m not sure how much luck this will have either. I’m taking the approach of building an open campaign and sharing modules and encounters. Build and demonstrate value first.
