I still don't know how I feel about Typescript type definition "magic". It sort of feels a bit like C++ macros. I guess it just takes getting used to them.

Yes, it's a matter of habit, but if it interferes with your ability to be productive, you're better off tearing the FUCK OUT OF THIS TREE.
