Yeah we realized that relying on the city to provide us with entertainment/accommodation is a losing game so why not create it for ourselves

Agreed. Both public spaces (ex: libraries) lack amenities and private (restaurants, bars) have a pressure to continue purchasing as you're there.

Yup, members only social clubs solve this. I’ve been convinced for some time that this is the new wave, glad to see others my age thinking the same

I gotcha. It’s definitely a long term project, we’ve passively looked at a handful of places over the last two years
