Your statement provides accurate reasoning. A couple buddies and I are pooling capital together to open a “chill spot” which is really just a members only social club in my hometown.

Yeah we realized that relying on the city to provide us with entertainment/accommodation is a losing game so why not create it for ourselves

Agreed. Both public spaces (ex: libraries) lack amenities and private (restaurants, bars) have a pressure to continue purchasing as you're there. There's not many places for people my age (mid-late 20s) to just hangout. Like a hangout space where I can meet interesting people and bring my people to just vibe
