How many people here have actually used this and see it as a comparable experience to buying a token on Uniswap?

IMO these two flows are psychologically and experience wise very far apart.

This kind of illustrates my point.

All of these providers have fiat onramps and yet no one (for all intensive purposes) uses them.

Why is that the case?

KYC has definitely felt like the biggest blocker.

I've been wondering if there's a work around with funding an "account balance" more akin to buying credits in Clash of Clans.

Getting through approval and kyc remains the biggest blocker here. But we’re on our way!

Feel like you need to be pretty deep down the rabbit hole to know this exists.

Its definitely a viable solution - I would just challenge that its a commonly accepted standard that new users are comfortable using.

It feels like more of a shortcut to get someone to complete a singular transaction.

this is not true, privy, sorare and warpcast implemented this over past few months

Where they storing it if they don’t have a wallet?

Hoping warpcast expands the onchain actions feature to do stuff like this

Honestly one of the best flows I've seen so far.

Haven't used it myself so can't verify exactly what I do and don't like about it but in principle it sounds pretty spot on!

This is undoubtably the closest stack we've seen so far.

One issue is that Paper only supports buying NFTs - not funding a wallet to actually make wider onchain actions outside of that one transaction (AFAIK).

Without a doubt the right direction but still far from becoming the default way new users transact onchain.

I think Warpcast onboarding flow is one of the best experiences out there for this. 

For building it, the closest thing that I know is for NFTs and using Dynamic (https://www.dynamic.xyz/) + Crossmint (https://www.crossmint.com/)!

Just did a CC mint with https://x.com/props?t=Dy7Uiw8m3QXgqY50_Kt4dg&s=09 was simple. Could mint from eth to existing wallet, from CC to existing, and CC to newly created.

@privy does this if I’m not mistaken
