loved reading the tweet, you allowed yourself to open up & be vulnerable. I rarely go to Twitter anymore unless someone links it here. It’s weird because I’m having similar emotions. I’m approaching the amount of followers on FC, as I have on X. A ton of those are bots over there lol. FC just seems way more real!

im in the same camp...farcaster has been a game changer for me. -never published publicly...started writing on @paragraph -started a couple different channels one with 6k+ -met some incredible ppl that inspire me like my main man @ace -minted more inframe in past 2 months than previous 2 years list goes on...

I too made the decision to put my energy into growing a community onchain because I was hitting a wall with socials. My first viral moment was onchain and the support I continue to see has exceeded any expectation I had. follower count is not cringe - not everyone is building apps in web3, some of us are building relationships (or just vibes). i started all over again on FC because i thought i could get a headstart to building my own brand here. lucky enough just to be just ahead of the early adopters. after all we are really so early.

I think being an influencer in crypto is inherently more toxic because it's the purest form of financialized attention. Folks look for a scapegoat when their bags are down and you aren't pumping them. When number goes up if you're doing better than them they still hate you. FC may end up in similar place but not today

This totally makes sense to me. If you are not enjoying something why continue to do it. Farcaster seems so much more crypto native. We are not here for a long time, but for a good time. So Congrats! PS. We should really have a name like "flipping day" when you FC passes your twitter followers.
