NFTs in 2021 were touted for being scare and limited. NFTs in 2024 are the opposite - they are hyper accessible and unlimited. This challenges what makes them valuable but the value now comes from how widely they reach - not by how few people have them. They aren't NFTs as we once knew them.

adding some nuance to this, I'd say NFTs in 2024 continue to embrace the networked scarcity value that caught most folks' attention in 2021 (one only need to look at sales of historic XCOPY works this year so far to see this) while also showing the value of being hyper accessible (XCOPY works as an example here too)

I came to this exact conclusion recently. Iā€™m sure there will still be some blue chips, but there is a large culture movement with NFTā€™s and Iā€™m here for it. Way more fun this way.

I actually think that this is when it gets really interesting. NFTs as the underlying technology in the consumer world used by millions of people and not only a few.
