Ngl def getting a bit tired of opening Base on Dexscreener and just seeing the most random memes in the top 10 everyday. I understand this is where the volume is currently at but just feel like Base represents so much more and that we've somewhat lost the plot lately.

This is kind of my point. If Base repeats what BSC became last cycle I think thats an L. Chain gets usage and volume but feel like what it represents is not progressive relative to what we've seen time and time again in crypto.

I think the chance of that happening is low. Jesse & team are actively encouraging builders and there are grants to developers. I expect we'll see a lot of new apps come out of stealth on Base in the coming months. Plus Base already has an L3 on top (degen chain) which is a point BSC never reached iirc.

paired with free bridging from coinbase, /rainbow and degen, i see much more success in base than bsc long-term 2/2

i don't recall much being actively built on bsc though but maybe i didn't look hard enough and i only saw the shitcoin casino that bsc offered i don't have much to go off but my gut feeling tells me that the coinbase -> base route is an easier route than binance -> bsc for less experienced crypto users... 1/2
