No shortcuts on the road to get a billion people onchain. To get a billion you first need to get a million. To get a million you gotta get in the trenches and meet people where they're at. They don't want to make a wallet. They don't want to hear about crypto. They don't want to go out of their way to try new technology. The more time you spend with people who don't care at all about crypto - the more you learn about how crypto needs to adapt to get them to care at all.

see a bit more nuanced: 1M = pioneers who deal with every flaw & bug bc they can't not to 10-100M = early adopters who want tech to be robust but like playing with it 1B = early mainstream who just want to use it w/ ANY friction

totally agree. and this is caused by ignorance. we need to educate people to bring them onboard, handout flyers, host seminars to educate them. some think crypto is a scam, we have to show them it's real.

Agreed, super bullish on NFT Ticketing to onboard people. Everyone in this image has a wallet, all automatically created in the background without the user needing any blockchain knowledge.

You're right. Apple didnā€™t sell products; we sold experiences. We made technology accessible and desirable. Focus on that.

Iā€™m honestly very surprised by the young generations. Iā€™m an old ass and talking to people I know itā€™s very tiring, but when I talk to young people they already know what Iā€™m talking about but seems theyā€™re not interested anyway. I mean, we probably need some better communication in WEB2. Thereā€™s something disconnected between us and the world outside.

However sad it is to see a concert being cancelled, the behind the scenes scenarioā€™s for refunding the ticket holders is a nightmare for both fans and organizers. Why? Because organizers most of the times donā€™t know who holds a ticket. Especially when resale happened too. Blockchain based NFT ticketing by a project like @openticketing.eth makes this history. You will always know who holds a tickets šŸŽŸļø ! So will always be able to contact the fan. The best way to add people onchain is in a way people easily see the benefits. Why I love @openticketing.eth is that they bring the ticketing and concert experience to normies. With a new start, they bring football attendance onchain with onboarding football clubs lately šŸ”„

Fully agree, thatā€™s why the web2.5 approach, with blockchain only on the background makes it way easier for ticketing to come onchain

Like you said, people sometimes donā€™t want to try new technology, what people in the trenches care about is to solve the real problem they are facing. So we have to listen to those who are skeptical about crypto and then can we shape solutions which fit into their problems. It's a long game, but building trust and delivering genuine value will be what ultimately brings a billion people onchain.
