I don’t think technical complexity is a factor anymore.

I think now everyone views crypto as a big ponzi and no one sees a benefit to use it.
And this is a much harder problem to solve.

It will have to get much easier to have a chance.  Layer 1,2, 3, various wallets, bridging etc etc. It's not easy at all. 

I think we are still a long way off.  The media fud is winning -  Got Dimon calling Bitcoin a ponzi.  Need an app/passport where people don't even know they are using crypto or buying NFTs.
