Crypto natives will pay for convenience. Just used relay.link to bridge and saw the fee for "instant" was ~$100. This made more sense to me than waiting for the typical bridging process which would take an unknown amount of time. Powerful lesson in there for founders.

I disagree. Bridging needs to be invisible, seamless. I'd rather pay $100 as a subscription to relay, but never as a flat fee. bridges are user hotspot for exploration and not a 'end-product'. driving revenue should be purely based of units of economics and not charging insane bridge fee.

relay is the cheap & fast bridge!!! - I typically see $0.10 fees - using relay for @xcelencia album purchase which networks did you bridge from to see $100 fees???

This is why @verse is now implementing “insta-minting” on ETH for a fee for artworks, or an option if you’d prefer to wait until gas fee’s cool down at efficient times we cover the gas cost. 🤍

convenience, simplicity, trust are features for which people will durably pay high premiums Eg Amex, Apple, Coinbase

It’s also smart psychology that the default for almost every transaction is in crypto and not native currency. Abstracting money makes transaction fees easier to accept.

Have you tried across.to or sideshift.ai ? Sideshift blew my mind. Direct to wallet swaps.

Many crypto natives will also pay for inconvenience because it's what they're used to!

I'm sorry but $100 for instant bridging is insane. Yes, same as with 50k designer bags, someone will pay for it, but that is completely unreasonable.
