FC needs to expand its reach to more than just the tech world.

The average person doesn’t understand 90% of the content on here. People don’t want to be apart of something when it makes them feel stupid and alienated. 

There’s little to no sports, entertainment, music or daily life content on here. 

Either the average user doesn’t have a life or they are just here for the money.

they went with the belief that creating a niche community in tech (as twitter started with, or facebook in harvard and colleges) was the most effective strategy to retain people and create novel content - so in that sense you’re early and have the opportunity before people beyond that niche do.

but as with anything in startups it’s a calculated risk

andy mentioned interviewing hunting cabin owners which i still think would be cool but you gotta be willing to only get a few views for a while
