Maybe memecoins are not stupid. But they are certainly a distraction for most founders. More casino than computer, so to speak. Distractions are more dangerous than purely stupid or evil things. You can spend a whole decade being distracted thinking you’re making progress.

Distractions are very dangerous indeed — how do you keep yourself from being distracted?

I fail constantly but I try to: - limit usage of certain apps (like this one) - refrain from trading (did too much of that during the last 2 cycles) But the main thing is to be working on something I know to be more important than the distractions. That pushes me back to focus when I start to stray away.

I mainly traded NFTs last cycle and got into memecoins last week while I’m creating my startup. I noticed quickly how much energy trading requires and how it was affecting me, this cast kind of confirms that for me. Will be keeping more of my focus towards creating rather than diverging my attention too much.
