You traveled a bunch last year! How have you been able to keep the balance between being a founder and enjoying ur trips?

I spent the last few weeks traveling around the US and Canada. I tried to split work and vacation, but I realized that when I was sightseeing I was stressed about not working; and when I was working, I was regretting not taking advantage of the sights.

Any tips on splitting time between work & vacay while traveling?

It's a tough balance. I've struggled disconnecting (https://warpcast.com/colin/0xb04430) so I'm still learning how to combine work & travel.

What's worked for me is 1) having clear delegation of tasks, 2) trying to check email/pings only in the morning and at night, and 3) preferably travel when you have 'downtime'

Elaborating on the last point - if I'm coding something pre-launch, that's a good time to travel. 

If I'm fundraising, trying to bring on strategic partners, or doing other things that consume a large amount of cognitive load, that's a bad time to travel.
