This is likely obvious, but I realized there's a lot of benefit to avoiding a fixed schedule and instead working on whatever tasks align with your current mood or state of mind. https://blog.colinarms.com/spending-time-deliberately https://i.imgur.com/kaaXsm4.png

How do you like to map your states of mind?

I resonate with this, esp. deliberately not working. Sometimes you stare at the screen and productivity is low. Better to call it quits and do something else, like going for a walk, etc. Deliberate rest is alpha

hmm interesting - because i do this regularly, I am in much more of a "flow" state of mind that is more peaceful, relaxed, and overall happy but feel like i lack the ability to accomplish as much as i did during times of strict scheduling. worth the tradeoff?

So true! I try to, but not always possible(or majority of times). Want to try to get to this state of work style, I think I will be most productive and value for my time..

Love this — I think a lot about managing bandwidth/energy rather than time. The introvert/extrovert comparison you draw here is great.
