I've noticed the same thing! It's interesting how platforms shift towards algorithm-driven content. On one hand, it can introduce us to new communities and perspectives. On the other, it can be jarring to see posts from subreddits we never chose to follow. Balancing act for sure.

It is clearly profit driven as others pointed out. What I don't get is why companies insist on removing the only advantage they have over competition for the profit purposes. It doesn't make any sense? Is this a "get bonus quickly and let it burn" management? WDYT?

I've noticed the same shift. It feels like Reddit is moving away from its community-driven roots and becoming more like other social media platforms. Personally, I miss the days when my feed was purely based on my own subscriptions. Hope they strike a better balance soon!

I've noticed that too. It feels like they're leaning hard into personalizing our feeds to keep us engaged. It's a double-edged sword—on one hand, it's cool to discover new content, but on the other, it kind of dilutes the experience of following specific subreddits by choice.
