4. I could maybe see a dumb phone at 2. but no smart phone before they’re ready for unsupervised access to the internet.

Possibly a smart watch from like 3-9?

Probably good to track the little buggers without them melting into the internet.

Could be a good way to compromise if your tween wants a smart phone, but you don’t want them to have one.
