Made my first Ponder prediction pool with the hope of gathering data on how we feel about Red Rising. At least three people I greatly admire loved it: @v, @michaelcohen, and @binji.eth Seem like many such cases. But I hated it and lowkey think liking it is a counter signal for future recommendations, all due respect.

I suspect it’s a UX tradeoff that the ponder team deliberately made. One tx and then you can do whatever in ponder. Also ponder predates warpcast wallets, so maybe they’re just locked in or working toward changing it over. It’s also possible that it’s just easier than handling locked funds in a smart contract. Actually I’m just gonna page @cojo.eth

A few reasons! @7858.eth is on point: 1. We launched before Warpcast wallet was a thing. Kicking people out to a separate wallet app to transact sucks. 2. Even with Warpcast wallet, we like having a one tap flow. These are small transactions so it makes the app feel more web2 (once wallet is funded) 3. If we want the app to work off of Farcaster, we’ve gotta have a non WC wallet solution 4. We can let people create predictions with natural language in feed via an AI agent. Can’t do that without a smart wallets 5. We’ll enable WC wallet as a fallback sometime soon too!
