is remote work making people lazy or more productive?

that is absolutely true! I never worked remotely so far. But i agree with you that productivity is a trap. 
I believe in getting things done not really in completing the hours.

Depends! Some ppl need to be schooled and (micro)managed.

Others keep going and are even more effective.

I love working remotely.

I agree its personal matter. I was curious to see what people think as when i worked on site and at times there was dead business period where you had to show up even though there wasn’t much to do. hours or task done, i always vote for getting things done.

I would say more productive but it depends on the person tbh

Some people work better when they are in an office for they feel the pressure of being there and for having to work. Also the environment itself makes them to focus solely on work

Some people though work better when they are in their own environment. They work at their own pace, are more relaxed, don’t feel any pressure…

As a founder, I will always advocate for remote work, or hybrid work. No need for them to always be at the office. Just need to get the work done, and as long as they do it idc from where they work, or for how long🌹
