What's *really* holding back mass adoption?

the overlap of community and business... questions like:
- what does it look like / mean for communities to operate businesses?
- can communities be businesses? how are things like profits and profit-sharing, "stakeholder-capitalism", etc different if so?
- what does "corporate greed" look like here / does it matter?
