A place to talk about New York on Farcaster

As I walk up 7th Avenue I am reminded of the fact that while I LOVE NY, I HATE Times Square with an undying passion.

What do people specifically hate about Times Square?

I kinda like that it acts like a “fly trap” - drawing in and concentrating some of the tourists and chaos away from other parts of NYC.

Also I’d take the crowds and lights over walking through the many intersections and subway stations w/ active construction.

Everything about it—the people, the energy, the smell, the sounds, the air, the food. It's the WOAT

But, your point on it acting as a fly trap is interesting and a nice perspective on the purpose it serves.
