The client and protocol used to have the same name -- Farcaster. I think the client should have kept the name Farcaster and the protocol should have been named Warpcast. The Farcaster meme is just too strong (even back then) and is usually first touchpoint for new users (instead they have to learn about Warpcast).

Agreed! "Farcaster" is iconic atp. New users search for that name so keeping the it for the client would make it smoother to discover & share. also, re-naming the protocol would have been fine since developers have to read documentation & learn new definitions anyway. These are good problems to have though, ig :)
