I am reading the same book right now, and it has been a tough read.

50% through, on pages claiming that the authoritarian character is actually a perpetual submittor to forces higher than oneself. Whether it be the economy, a boss, a spouse, etc.

curious-how did you find out about this book?

yes.

the books you mention are the type to throw in someday maybe category. I respect your journey to all in a specific subject, i’m sure it’ll be worth it 

I picked up this one, because I had a friend tell me it’s his all time favorite book.Always read a book when there’s such enthusiasm, just very difficult to find time.

A good friend creating a philosophy book club for my friendgroup here. 

i’m not sure the group is interested.
i’ll support him, but cannot display emotion… 
must remain stoic… 😐

random thought I wonder how psychology relates to philosophy… they seem similar to me.

Admit it's hard going for me as well sometimes, but I find it so enlightening and rewarding that I always come back to it. About 2/3 through. As far as how I found out about it - IIRC it was during a deep dive & massive haul of psychology books and looking at other suggested books
