I hate everything about the way people digitally grieve. Social media was not made for it

I cringe to envision, that when I die, if I am lucky enough to be missed, the inevitable post with some shitty ugly pic of me paired with platitudes while randos reply “🙏” and “🕊️” and “RIP”

I've actually thought about the possibility of an on-chain (or something like arweave) version of legacy.com where people can leave more meaningful notes/dedications.

Do you think it has something to do with this mass social approach to communications, which usually involves minimal depth and impersonal messaging? As opposed to a "cosy web" alternative wherein the death of someone has a narrower reach, but a deeper impact?

Part of me would love this. Part of me just wants our culture around all of this to change; like to the extent a special thing is needed to do so, not sure
