Might be onto something interesting here, re: transcending realpolitik. Curious if anyone has any thoughts on the matter, will publish these notes soon.

I sense it has something to do with the individual’s relationship to internal self and their relationship to the external bigger self in terms of perceived right and wrong. Maybe the X-axis is If I do it….“can live with myself” on one end and “can’t live with myself” on the other. Y-axis is my moral alignment…“aligns with my morals” on one end and “doesn’t align with my morals” on the other. If aligns w/ morals + I can live with myself - do it w/o thinking about it. Automatic action. Reinforces morals. If doesn’t align with morals + I can’t live with myself if I do it - don’t do it without thinking about it. Inaction. Reinforces morals. If doesn’t align with my morals + I can live with myself - think about doing it, knowing that I’ll need to reassess my moral compass if I do. “Sacrificing for the greater good”. Reasses morals. If does align with my morals + I cant live with myself. See a therapist or a priest.
