lack of viral potential for casts could kill Farcaster

posting to just your friends is not enough anymore, people get bored and want more

the hive mind striving for virality is what kills social media imo, tho i understand that may be an unpopular opinion

Without virality though there’s very little shared experience and “upward mobility” (becoming popular on a platform)

i get your point btw, but does becoming 'popular' in the channels you frequent not hit the mark? seems to me that the approach for warpcast should resemble reddit more than twitter etc. 

what does reddit do for this? main page for viral stuff? r/all or whatever it's called

you've done it in /higher my friend, good sized channel too. i personally think that difficulty in becoming popular is a feature and generates better content
