Wallet Onboard can be used by any JavaScript web app and gets updated as new wallet integrations are added.

Instead of staying up to date and managing multiple libraries to integrate new wallets into the onboarding experience, Wallet Onboard does this for developers automatically.

This won’t be for every crypto team - to get all the benefits of Plaid Link and start adding wallet connections into Plaid’s other products, Wallet Onboard is built into Plaid’s infrastructure and not feasible to be entirely open source.

There are many developers we’re working with that are happy with that trade-off when connecting wallets in their product, and we have plans to start collaborating more on open standards and components.

uses WalletConnect V1 right now for WC wallets, and eventually V2 as well to automatically switch to that on a per-wallet basis

btw we've been hacking around with the new CB wallet mobile SDK - you have direct casts or TG? wanted to send you a demo of how that's going :)

How is this different, if at all, to Wallet Connect?
