In 2001 it was very clear that the market had gotten way over its skies and had deviated majorly from the long-term trend. I don't see a similar pattern in crypto (or any other market) at this time. In fact, we had a bit of that in tech in 2021, but that's corrected.

For comparison, the 2021 bubble. Similar pattern but smaller. Both of these charts are S&P500. But crypto is not in a bubble either at this time. I think it's much more reasonable to assume we're roughly in 1996-1998 for crypto, the big bubble is still to come and burst.
