i don’t understand the arguments for ending military aid to ukraine because imo it will accelerate wars of aggression and territorial expansion

There are no good arguments. The US treatment of Ukraine (who we promised protection to in exchange for them destroying all their nukes and long-range missiles) has been terrible. The message we're sending is you can't rely on us, better get your hands on nukes.

Part of where we are today is because the US didn't give sufficient assistance early on, so Russia had plenty of time the first year to build fortifications and now they're entrenched in southern Ukraine and difficult to dislodge. Complete foreign policy failure IMO.

Also, it's not about US soldiers fighting in Ukraine. That's not necessary. But the US is destroying ATACMS and Bradleys instead of sending them to Ukraine. Completely bonkers. Ukraine could have had F16s 18 months ago but the US didn't give the go-ahead. Etc.
