About half the time when I try to add an emoji it doesn't work. The emoji popup won't show. I haven't discovered a pattern yet of when this happens. I'm using Brave browser on Mac. And I was able to add an emoji right now: 🤷♂️ Again, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.

Will investigate, but for now on Mac Control–Command–Space bar: Show the Character Viewer, from which you can choose emoji and other symbols.
