Anyone ever use a BBS (Bulletin Board Systems)? BBSes were a formative part of my growing up, and a critical step pre-internet for connectivity and information access. I used to dial into these all the time on my modem and spend entire nights on various BBSes, before internet became commonly accessible.

Hmh, something like this to browse Farcaster would be kinda cool ngl Of course with a lil' more modern UI :D

BBSes were originally text-based, so the UI was always a /cli affair. Some BBSes like Roboboard FX and First Class started supporting higher resolution EGA/VGA UIs, but never quite took off. There's something really magical about text-based BBSing IMHO.
