Well, there's this general idea that  movie producers don't really do all that much for a movie (true to varying extents). I'm thinking someone might read this and think you're trying to say that PMs don't do all that much (absolutely not what you're going for).

Yeah, it's not always true of course that producers do next to nothing. Anyway, I don't think anyone really cares about op beyond surface level and what you're trying to say is perfectly clear.

The thing about producers is that because they have the weakest union, anyone can and will call themselves a producer.

So would agree there are definitely terrible ones but also agree with Linda that ideally they’re great PMs.
