Not super fond of the challenge feature.

It's quite PvP for an environment that was previously so casual.

I had a rando challenge me for 30k points (notification said "friend", we are not).

Imagine if I clicked through while distracted, and lost.

I think people will get tricked by that.

just pushed a fix so non-friends can't send challenges.

but we can definitely continue to make it more clear when you're playing a challenge and there are points on the line.

fwiw they are very popular, we've had over 200k challenges completed at this point.

we really love "low-money low-skill" games, where users can easily wager and play with friends, but we can keep working on that feature to make more clear

definitely been some grumbling, there’s always something we can improve. 

definitely don’t want people feeling like they got scammed. but we love the feature as a tool for friends and communities to add some spice. not necessarily for strangers to pvp

That's good to know. I'm in my bubble when it comes to Farcaster and even Farcade so this was my first experience with challenges. 😅 

Limiting this to friends should already be a strong safeguard. 

I was thinking maybe it could also be something like x% of the challenged amount of coins tops; and then big red warning with explicit user action required to move past the warning if we go beyond that. 

But TBH that's probably overkill if you're saying 200k challenges have gone by with no grumbling.
