Gm @chronist 🤍 We have a famous proverb in Iran 🇮🇷that says: Everyone became my companion based on their own perception. The proverb “Every person became my companion based on their own perception” means that each individual judges you based on their own thoughts, perspectives, and experiences. In other words, everyone forms an opinion or impression of you according to their own understanding, even if the reality is different. Hi dear @chronist I’m from Iran and we have a famous proverb: "The mouse couldn't fit into the hole, yet it tied a broom to its tail." 🐭🧹 An English equivalent of this proverb is: "Biting off more than you can chew." It conveys the idea of someone taking on more than they can handle or complicating a situation unnecessarily. lika a creating a bigger problem to solve a small one or offering illogical solutions to simple problems.

I am from Bangladesh Here is a funny Bangladeshi saying: "অতি চালাকের গলায় দড়ি" (Oti chalaker golay dori) This translates to The rope is around the neck of the overly clever person. It's a humorous way of saying that those who think they are too clever or try to outsmart everyone else will eventually get themselves into trouble. It's a bit like the English saying Too clever by half.
