what backend JS framework is everyone using now? just express?

Stopped using JS and dramatically improved mental health.

Rawdogging Golang but if doing it all over again I’d choose Rust/axum

Zero not to use it except language creep. Our industry is trending towards Rust (Alloy, Reth, Snapchain, Artemis, Foundry)

Golang is so good for backend; v flow state

WebSockets will leak memory with node — when not if. Can’t happen with Rust. You also will never go faster or more performant than Rust.

It will always eat at you that you’re not going ultrafast and memory safe lol. Night sweats.

Oh no. Don’t make me second guess my rawdogging Bun. I might go Rust/axum instead.
