are the zk/anon casting experiments dead? those were one of the most interesting/unique things happening in all of crypto imo cc @woj.eth @slokh @dwr.eth please tell me anon casting is making a comeback into your client at some point..

I wouldn't add any features so much as I am hoping it gets baked into WC and becomes more widely accessible Feels like an opportunity to generate Unique Content that can't be replicated elsewhere [bc of the underlying rails]. On reddit people have to jump through the hoops of creating throwaway accounts, and frankly tons of interesting content comes out of them cc @ted who i think brought this up in the past

thats probably the only way for anon posts to work because if you make a new client with anon posting then you have to compete with WC which is futile what do you mean by "unique content that can't be replicated"?

I actually don't know if that part is true, but what I meant was using zk to make anon posts with provable-claims is something that other social media platforms can't do although in the end 1/ x could add an anon post function with attached claims and you'd have to just trust it and 2/ ig at some level you'd have to trust the client/merkle that they aren't logging your zk-anon posts (which, if they OS the client, you could reasonably trust I think?) said another way: there should be things we can do with zk-proofs over accounts and contents that other social media platforms can't do, by virtue of not being built on top of crypto rails with wallets built in etc

yes, client side proving plus open source clients will get you there. i would still be okay trusting a brand like ig or x if they say that they are generating client side proofs it typically takes 15-30 seconds today so a minor UX headwind

It’ll be a core part of Uno. The issue is that proofs and circuits are require significant tuning, and the value prop of any client today is still in pseudonymously accessible content. So just importing your FID EOA works fine for now.
