Apple Intelligence has exactly what I’d hoped for on privacy. Run a local model unless it’s necessary to outsource; send only required data to cloud services; still integrate context seamlessly between apps. Privacy will be Tim Cook’s legacy 🔒

i don’t think this is net new for Apple — they do the same differential privacy for iCloud services (and so does almost every other serious AI/ML company) https://www.nist.gov/blogs/cybersecurity-insights/how-deploy-machine-learning-differential-privacy

It’s very in line with Apple historically; my concern was that might change given the new partnership (and concerns about Microsoft Recall)
