This is complete silliness (both going after Oxman and reviewing the MIT faculty). Plagiarism is not a problem in the natural sciences or engineering, because honestly nobody cares if you copy a sentence from an introduction or methods section (I'll post evidence below). 1/n

This is silly. See my thread. She followed the standards in her field. We don't normally quote sentences in the natural sciences. It's not what matters. If there was evidence she faked data I'd be concerned, but a rephrased sentence with citation is totally acceptable.
