I observed my friend making a proper chai the other day - boil sugar with water - smash cardamom and preferred spices, add to sugar syrup and simmer a while - add milk to pot, simmer until boiling vigorously (important to use pot with plenty of room for foaming) - pour into appropriately sized smol cups @vinayvasanji.eth
