My 11 yo is currently writing a gothic story. Love that education is emphasising story telling. But to what end? Never has she been asked to write what she believes in. Too much of these skills will end up being directed at writing company reports rather than what is truly valuable. Let’s have /believein for kids

Hmm. Good point. But I think these things are very teacher-dependent. My son, in Year 6, has a teacher who really inspires them to express their thoughts. With poetry, mainly. But still. Also, I think that's precisely the issue. It depends on a teacher not the system or structure.

Exactly, so dependant on local factors. Key thing about Web3 for me is system change to give everyone agency

Yes. But there is more. When it comes to education, we are dependent on system actors, like teachers, who need to use that agency. We need to help them with that. Not just create tools, but also hold hands and lead by example.
