Desperately wanna be minimal-ish Drowning in clothes, shoes, and toys - oh and papers Does anyone here have any personal success stories of overcoming TOO MUCH stuff and living in peace, blank empty space? I’m so inspired by people who live with less My dream is to open cupboards and drawers and see empty space not stuff crammed in every possible nook and cranny - space between clothes on hangers This is my nursery and the only room I feel peace in

I’ve got a success story for you! I’ve been leaning into minimalism for many years now. My family decluttered and donated most of our possessions and hit the road as nomads. It was incredibly liberating! I started slow, one room at a time or would fill a few bags consistently and donate them. Setting things aside I was unsure about would give me time to see if I missed it. There’s something so powerful about clearing space and feeling lighter!

Ofc, I’m happy to guide any questions you have! It really opened my eyes to a broader conversation about consumption. We were intentional with it and openly communicated with our kiddo about why we were making those choices. They helped sort and donate toys, which they still do now. It’s been a great practice that (in hindsight) was an important life lesson.
